On some days, I know what I’d like to blast from jump and on other days the song comes to me.
All day long, “if you hope we wouldn’t make it fuck you,” came to me! It was like my subconscious kept hitting play and boom! the song would blast sans headphones or anything.
But, I agree with The Lox, the more I worked, the more I built interpersonal relationships, and the more I seemed to experience situations where I noticed that some folk just want to shit on you, the more that lyric made sense to me.
At the end of it all, people want for self (except for your guardian angels, they wish you well) and they’re not worried about your success, nor do they want to see you be a rockstar.
Where am I going with this?
I’m just saying not to hide your light, don’t hold back because of the negative energy around you. This may sound vague, but I’m speaking from the heart, so stick with me.
When you listen to “Fuck You,” listen to Styles verse, to Jada’s verse, to Sheek’s verse you can see that they are NOT trying to stop. These three gentlemen don’t care for all the people who laughed at them for chasing their dream. They’re not letting negative energy affect how they win or how they maneuver.
This song came to me for a reason and today I start my 30-day campaign, #NessaGivesNoFucksCampaign. I’m just saying that I’m out to make this a habit, give no fucks. When you do the same thing for 21-days it turns into a habit and I feel liberated already.
“If you hope we wouldn’t make it, fuck you. Talk with a heart full of hatred, fuck you” -The L.O.X
